Business Development Manager

In this role you will be responsible for the recruitment of new schools and early learning centres into the Life Education program across Qld.

You will create and execute a pipeline of opportunities, ensuring target regions are prioritised to maximise reach and service delivery revenue.  Your ability to build successful relationships with key stakeholders will be paramount to your success and you will be a competent listener and skilled salesperson to promote the value of the Life Ed program and how it can meet the needs of the school / early learning centre.

If you are passionate about children’s health and wellbeing and believe that every child deserves to thrive, together with a strong sales / direct marketing background, we want to hear from you!

Applicants must address the following selection criteria in the cover letter of their application: 

  • Previous experience generating new business opportunities, with an excellent strike record to convert sales.
  • Passionate about the health and wellbeing of children and have previous experience / knowledge within the education / early learning sector.
  • Results focused and target driven, with capability to manage competing demands, ensuring the organisation’s outcomes are met, together with managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Previous experience using Salesforce or similar CRM.
  • Unrestricted driver’s license and flexibility to travel across south east Qld and regional areas, with some overnight stays likely.  This is not a stay-at-home sales role.
  • Have a current Qld Working with Children Blue card, or willingness to obtain one

Health Educator - Gladstone

A visit from Life Ed Qld is a very special time within the school environment and in this unique role, you will deliver a range of Life Ed health and drug modules, including sexual health programs to children and young people.

Whilst the content and outcomes are already developed, you will bring to life each module to ensure that children are engaged and you are seen as a valuable resource to teachers and the school in general.

You will be comfortable delivering parent information sessions, either face to face or online and are a confident speaker.

An important element of this role is the ability to  travel and service school in the region.  This will include travel away overnight for periods of time.

Applicants must address the following selection criteria in their application: 

  • Demonstrated experience being an engaging and enthusiastic facilitator, particularly with children and young people.
  • A relevant qualification to support facilitation experience, together with a qualification or strong interest in health education.
  • Be able to travel in and around the region and be away overnight from home for periods of time throughout the school term.
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills, and capable of being independent.
  • Have a current unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Hold a Working with Children Blue Card, or the capacity to obtain one prior to commencement.

This is a part time (4 days per week) fixed term contract until 8 December 2023, with the possibility of extension.

Sexual Health Educator - Mackay

A visit from Life Ed Qld is greatly valued by schools, and in this exciting and unique role, you will deliver vital content aligned with the national Health and Physical Education curriculum. Topics include body image, identity, puberty, hygiene, friendships, consent, personal boundaries and personal safety.  This is a relationships and sexual health focused role, delivering mostly to senior primary school children. From time to time you will also be required to deliver age appropriate health education content to students in early learning centres and secondary schools.

To be successful, you must demonstrate confidence to deliver the required content to school age children, and parents, and also supporting classroom teachers with content integration.

Applicants with a background in education, health promotion, sexual health or nursing will be highly regarded.

You will be flexible and able to engage students in a variety of settings, whether it be a classroom, hall or library.

You will be comfortable delivering parent information sessions, either face to face or online, be a confident speaker, and able to build and maintain positive relationships with schools. You will be able to deal with sensitive topics and provide reassurance of the value of the program to address any parental concerns.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside schools to help inform and empower young Queenslanders to make safer and healthier choices for themselves and in their relationships that will lead to positive health outcomes in the future.
